Interview Guide

We would like to understand if you will enjoy our kind of work and how well you are likely to perform in case situations. We do not expect an extensive business background; knowing the 'jargon' and producing a template answer will win far fewer points than showing us you understand the problem and can logically structure your ideas.

We are not looking for 'the answer'. We want to see how you approach the problem. Are you a creative and conceptual thinker? Do you have poise and enthusiasm? Are you analytical and able to dive deep into the detail, while keeping the 'big picture' in mind?

If you're the sort of person who feels more comfortable if you're prepared, try completing a few problem-solving exercises or doing some mock interviews with friends or career counsellors. The practice cases on our global site are another good place to start.

Finally, here's our best advice: relax, be positive and don't be intimidated. We have all been through this process and, believe it or not, many of us really enjoyed it. We came out of the interviews more convinced than ever that we wanted a consulting career at BCG.

Some tips on What to do and what not to do during a case interview.
