Janmejaya has a B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in History from St. Stephens College, a Master’s degree in economics from Cambridge, United Kingdom, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School. 

"Before shifting my career to consulting in 1996, I worked in different departments at the Reserve Bank of India. My consulting experience has focused on assignments in the financial services and consumer goods industries, examining issues of growth and portfolio strategy, product positioning, acquisition screening, postmerger integration and pricing. I am married, have two boys, and enjoy playing golf with people who have a hard time breaking 100!"
