Harsh earned a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (formerly VRCE), a post-graduate diploma in management from IIM Calcutta, an M.S. in Finance and a Ph.D. in Strategy and Business Economics from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland located in the United States.

"I joined BCG in early 2000. My work at BCG is focused primarily in the financial services and energy industries. I have worked with companies on issues such as strategy, launching new businesses, risk management, operations, organisation, etc.

My extracurricular interests include Indian classical music, English and Marathi literature, economics, physics, evolutionary biology, and mathematics."
