Introduction

Our Consultants provide strategic advice to the senior management of companies around the world, advice that addresses the 'big issues' within these companies.  For example, our work might entail developing positioning strategies for new brands, evaluating opportunities in new markets, setting prices for products, or designing manufacturing and product development processes to improve responsiveness to customers.

Other roles include analyzing opportunities for alliances, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures, and helping clients get the most out of their information technology. While the specific nature of the work for each client is different, strategy consulting invariably involves the implementation and management of major change.

In this section, we explain our expertise, our company mission and the factors that set us apart from the competition. We describe how we are organized into 'practice areas' and offer examples of work we have performed within these areas of expertise.

Our Expertise

BCG has 66 offices in 38 countries and serves companies in all industries and markets. Over 3,900 consulting professionals worldwide, most with advanced degrees and hands on management experience, are encouraged to spend time within several BCG offices resulting in cross pollination of ideas, cultures and best practices.

Our Internationally coordinated staff and practice groups have deep expertise in six industry practices. Within each of these industry practices, we have capability to address a wide variety of issues which is critical for business success for our clients.
