The Boston Consulting Group, in partnership with the Tony Blair Africa Governance Initiative, used BCG’s Sustainable Economic Development Assessment methodology to examine the policies that are driving those gains.

Mining Stakeholders Collaborate on a Path to Responsible Development

A wide array of mining stakeholders have cooperated to help develop Mineral Value Management, a tool aimed at mitigating the misunderstanding and conflict that now fuel mineral-development disputes worldwide, according to a new report from the World Economic Forum produced in collaboration with BCG. A global survey using the tool found that stakeholders hold widely divergent views on mining’s costs and benefits.
