As a Social Impact Secondee, you typically spend 6 to 12 months working with one of our global social impact partners. As a secondee, you join the social-sector organization, developing the perspective of what it is like to work on the inside. You will be able to expand your own skill set while helping to meet tangible, critical goals for those most in need. As a Social Impact Secondee, you will maintain your links with BCG, no matter where in the world you are working.
BCG secondees have worked with our global partners the United Nations World Food Programme and Save the Children. Roles have ranged in location from Laos to London.
Beyond the Social Impact Secondment Program, BCG will also help you find opportunities to work with other nonprofit organizations on a leave-of-absence basis. Our staff have taken Social Impact LOAs with organizations ranging from TechnoServe to the Clinton Health Access Initiative to Endeavor.
Client Secondments offer you the chance to work at a BCG client, to understand what it is like “on the other side of the table.” We support these assignments, which typically last about a year or more, and they can be inside or outside your home-office country. You can take on a range of roles in client businesses while at the same time maintaining your links with BCG colleagues and drawing on BCG for support.
