Before pursuing my MBA, and during the program, I realized that the ideal job for me would have to offer me three things: a constant challenge, a variety of industries to keep me stimulated, and the opportunity to make a positive impact and see the results of my work on a large scale.

From the beginning BCG delivered all of these and more. As soon as I started I discovered that supporting the fast-paced work were a team of colleagues ready to help each other improve on areas where development was needed, whilst letting individual's existing strengths grow.

At BCG neither a person's position nor title mattered, but instead the quality and viability of ideas and their impact to clients were what counted. From the start of a project you are given immediate responsibility to work collaboratively with the client and make high-level impact on their business. Prior to joining BCG, Gulnara worked for major international companies focusing on brand-management, market research, and strategy development.

Gulnara holds an MBA degree from Chicago Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor degree in International Economics from Kazakh National University.

During my last year of study at Politecnico, I decided to have my internship in BCG, and I immediately realized that consulting was my job. After graduation, I joined BCG, and was involved in different practices, meeting a lot of people and enjoying different projects and experiences.

BCG offered me the opportunity to take part in very interesting projects, like the optimization of go-to-market model for a Telco operator, and the turn-around of a high technology company.

Marta holds a Materials Engineering degree summa cum laude from both Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Milano, as well as the Alta Scuola Politecnica Diploma.

She was awarded the "Best graduate of the year at Politecnico di Torino" prize, allocated by Associazione Cavalieri di Gran Croce.

Marta joined BCG’s Milan office in 2011.

Rafa studied law and business administration at ICADE. He joined BCG after working as a lawyer at Linklaters.

My first experience at BCG was a one-month internship. From day one, I was part of the team. I was impressed by the great support I received from my mentor and coach, who answered all my questions. What struck me most, however, was the engagement of all team members going the extra mile to implement change for the client.

Today in my current positon with BCG I am still impressed by the reach of my work. I attend meetings with top executives of a financial company, discussing different ways to improve their organization structure. It is very rewarding to see the impact BCG has on an organization!

Karolien obtained a commercial engineering degree Summa Cum Laude from Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven.

The past few years at BCG have given me tremendous exposure to the dynamism of many emerging Asian markets. I had the opportunity to work on many projects in which understanding changing consumer behavior was critical to helping our clients grow their business.

Our clients have ambitious growth aspirations, and it is always challenging—but highly rewarding—to meet them. In the process, I have built my expertise in mobile data and digital services, two highly dynamic spaces as the rising middle class in Southeast Asia becomes increasingly connected and tech-savvy.

I was, for instance, involved in helping a local client build its data business—a space with very strong growth potential. We successfully met the challenge of building the team, launching new products, and putting all the processes in place—resulting in the client’s revenues more than doubling within a year.

Olivier holds an MSc in international management from the University of St. Gallen and an MBA from Nanyang Technological University.

Olivier joined BCG after working for a few years at another consulting firm in the region. He is a core member of the firm’s Technology, Media & Telecommunications practice area, and his work focuses mainly on mobile data, digital services, and digital media in emerging markets.

Life at BCG is about working in teams in order to learn and grow as individuals. We work 'with' clients, not 'at' them; becoming fully immersed in their organisation, really understanding the culture and the issues they face and going beyond some of the obvious, even superficial, initial observations. We help drive our clients towards success, all feeling a mutual sense of ownership over the outcome.

For me, being part of a team with some of the brightest, most innovative minds has been truly inspiring. And regardless of the industry I have worked in, there is a vast BCG support network, all willing to contribute to the success of the team. Terri has Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and finance from the University of New South Wales. She studied as part of the co-op scholarship program, during which time she undertook a series of ‘industrial trainings' at large Australian corporations.
