Being close to finishing my degree, I was hungry for a career where I would have great impact and where I could continue to develop both professionally and personally.

I participated in a female only recruiting event at BCG and I was attracted by all the intelligent and fun people I met. I appreciate the fact that BCG encourages female initiatives and I believe that characteristics unique to women can add a lot of value to our clients and to BCG. However, working with talented and creative people stands above all, and all of my colleagues, both male and female, are a big inspiration to me and serve as great role models.

Kristine holds a master’s in biotechnology from the Technical University of Denmark and Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Kristine joined the BCG Copenhagen office in 2008.

I first discovered BCG during an internship in the Oslo office, and was soon convinced consultanting was the ideal job for me. First of all the people are great, both socially and professionally. Secondly, you get the opportunity to work with different companies and business areas.

After working for some time, I'm still very happy with my choice of employer. I have really great colleagues, and I truly enjoy my work. I know that BCG was the right way to start my career.

A background in learning and development across a number of exciting industries led me to my passion in life: working with people and getting the best out of them. Coming to BCG has allowed me to develop this passion with a highly talented and inspiring group of people.

From the moment I joined BCG I felt welcomed and my contributions were acknowledged. The professional and personal support offered to me both at a local and international level has been unparalleled.

One of the most inspiring initiatives I've been involved in was being part of the team that instigated and developed the BCG ANZ Undergraduate Scholarship, which helps outstanding graduates to further their academic and personal pursuits. Its success has meant the initiative may be introduced into other BCG systems in the coming years. At BCG, my opinions are valued and I know I have the trust of my colleagues.

What I find very interesting and attractive at BCG is not only the growth it has achieved over recent years, but also the way it has achieved and sustained this growth. In my interactions with people across all levels at BCG, I find calm confidence. I couldn't ask for a better set of attributes for a strong team.

I see BCG as providing opportunities to all so that we can exercise our choices, while the willingness to relook at and reinvent ourselves for the better is very infectious. I believe that BCG's core principles for client and team engagement will ensure that we are able to sustain our success based on humble intelligence.

Tuesday, 9:00 p.m., after an eventful and exhausting day, I am at the hotel bar with my colleagues. The fading day is a perfect demonstration of where my happiness at BCG comes from. Being responsible for a business model implementation module, I first had to finalize my model-based calculations for various revenue scenarios. Based on the results, I drafted a storyline for our next steering committee meeting. I then sat down with my Project Leader and one of our Partners to challenge my results and refine our storyline. An intense, fact-based conversation raised further in-depth questions I will be working on for the next days. Tomorrow morning, prepared by our debate, I will meet our client's CFO to present and discuss our findings.
